One of the most important things to know about Qatar is the immigration system and the different types of visas it includes. \nWhile some nationalities are exempt from this visa and receive it upon arrival to Qatar, other nationalities need to obtain a visit visa before entering the country.<\/p>\n
\nThis is usually arranged by each individual company for its workers, and is valid for 2 week extendable to 2 other weeks (or more, it depends on the circumstances).<\/p>\n
\nThese visas are normally valid for 1 to 3 months and are also organized by the employer\/company in Qatar. This is usually the first step that is taken before the residence permit is applied.<\/p>\n
\nThis is for anyone who would like to visit their family or relatives in Qatar. This is valid for one month, and can be extended to up to 6 months (immediate family) and up to 3 months (other family relatives).<\/p>\n
\nThis is the visa that is used when a Qatar resident sponsors a spouse and child\/children. This is different from a visit visa as a family visa doesn\u2019t have an expiration date and your family will be able to live in Qatar as long as you sponsor them.<\/p>\n
\nWhile some professions allow you to receive a visa upon arrival in Qatar when living and working in the GCC, some restrictions are put in place. This is basically a visa for those living in the GCC and need it to enter the country.<\/p>\n
